Meet Mike Nash

After my grandfather got out of dairy farming, I was mainly interested in row crop farming and raising a few beef cattle to feed my family and a few neighbors. I work full-time off the farm as a crops manager for a local farm supply store and the idea of transitioning to a full-time role on the farm has always been a dream of mine.
There’s no way I would have thought that Emily would share that dream with me when we first met. She quickly talked me into getting our licenses and working with a USDA butcher. Watson and William Farm was born not long after, named after my great-grandfather and my 90-year-old grandfather who still helps us on the farm every day. I hope we can re-connect you with your food and the people behind the food you eat.

Meet Emily Ringrose

Hi, I’m Emily, one of the farmers at Watson and William Farm. I didn’t grow up in agriculture, and I never imagined that I would end up a farmer. I grew up in a suburban environment in Pennsylvania with dreams of going to college in New York City.
I lived in Manhattan for two years and worked for an investment management firm until I realized that the stars were not aligning with my career choice. After a few too many days of crying my eyes out because I hated my job, I accepted the first job offer I came across, a fruit orchard farm position.
This is where the passion for a farming way of life took over and now, I’m in love with the way food is raised. Fast forward a few years later and after falling for a 5th-generation farm-boy, Mike, I set out to grow and develop a profitable direct-to-consumer beef business that could provide for our family while nourishing our community.

We love selling our beef directly to our customers and we found ourselves even more interwoven in our food shed when one of our favorite local restaurants started featuring our beef on their menu.
