Hot dogs made from the beef we raise. A weeknight dinner nobody argues about.
A hot dog is usually where you lose track of where the beef came from. Ours are made from the same Black Angus we raise for our steaks and roasts, so there's no gap in the story.
The ingredient list is short, and it's right below. Nothing in it is there to stretch the beef.
Grill, skillet, or a pot of simmering water. Split them lengthwise and get them dark on a hot grill if you want the best version of a hot dog you've had in a while.
These are market food. We eat them standing up more often than sitting down.
Split them lengthwise before they go on the grill and let the cut side get properly dark, almost charred at the edges. Four or five minutes, and it's a completely different thing than a boiled hot dog. Toasted bun, mustard, and a spoonful of whatever relish is open. The girls want ketchup, and we stopped fighting about it years ago.
Arrives frozen and vacuum sealed, and keeps about a year in the freezer. Thaw it overnight in the fridge, or quick thaw it in a bowl of cold water. Once it's thawed, keep it in the fridge and cook it within 2 to 3 days.
