Tallow Soap, Energize: Cinnamon, Rosemary, Peppermint

About this

Made with tallow rendered from our own Black Angus and scented with cinnamon, rosemary and peppermint. Emily started making these after our daughter Carter was born, when she went looking for things with ingredients she actually recognized.

Good for

Hands, body, and the sink by the back door.

This is the bar in our shower, and it does more for a five o'clock start than coffee does. Cinnamon and peppermint together are a wake-up call, and the rosemary keeps it from smelling like a candle. It's the one that goes to the barn sink too, because it cuts through a morning's work better than anything else we've tried.

Storage

Keep the bar on a draining dish between uses and it'll last a lot longer. Store spares somewhere dry and out of direct sun.
