About this cut

Made from the same Black Angus we raise for our steaks and roasts. They're shelf stable, so they keep in a glovebox or a coat pocket without complaint.

Good for

Lunch boxes, hikes, ball games, and the long stretch between lunch and dinner. Easy to keep in a bag, a drawer or a tractor cab.

From our kitchen

These live in the glovebox, in backpacks, and in the pocket of every coat by the door.

They go out to the field when a job runs past lunch, and into lunch boxes when the morning gets away from us. The mild ones are the kid default around here. We buy them back by the box and they still disappear faster than we can restock.

Storage

Keep it somewhere cool and dry until you open it. Once it's open, refrigerate what's left.
